At 96 years of age I moved with my daughter to Gainesville. I met Dr. Mionie through my daughter and husband, and he did some geriatric-appropriate work on my neck. Dr. Mionie was so supportive and gave me exercises to do at home. He took such an interest in me and even attended my 100th birthday party. I know that chiropractic medicine works! It has enabled me to have better digestion, a more relaxed spirit, and mobility. It has helped me avoid the “too much medication” track that so many elderly have taken.

I am a forty one year old female who has suffered from curvature of the spine my entire life. About a year ago, I began to experience severe discomfort, which my OB/GYN said I would need surgery to correct, as my problems were likely caused by my spinal curvature. When I met Dr. Mionie, I was hesitant about whether chiropractic care could help me enough, but I did not want surgery, so I made an appointment. After starting treatment with him, I felt so much better that I began to look forward to my adjustments. Now my adjustments are a vital part of my life.
I sleep better, feel stronger and have more endurance. I don’t seem to get sick as often, and, most importantly, I avoided major back surgery! I’ve experienced such good results from my treatment with Dr. Mionie that I have signed up my son for adjustments. He enjoys them as well!

I am 85 years old. About three years ago, I had a tremendous amount of pain in my right thumb, as I had Arthritis in it. I was almost frozen with no movement. I had given up my hobbies of sewing, quilting, and crocheting. Even writing a letter was painful. After meeting Dr. Mionie and being treated by him I am now back to enjoying my hobbies. Not only that, but I have also learned to knit and am currently taking art lessons and painting artwork for friends and family!

I started as a patient at Lakeshore Chiropractic a little over a month ago after meeting Dr. Mionie at the Gainsville festival. I had been suffering with severe headaches and many other symptoms that I could not find answers to the cause. I made an appointment for the next day. I have not only finally found out the cause of my headaches and other symptoms, but have also experienced relief from my headaches, TMJ and Vertigo – which were all related to my neck being out of alignment. As a child I was diagnosed with Scoliosis. My mother was instructed to take me to Atlanta to Emory, where they wanted to put me in a body cast. This didn’t feel right, so my mom pursued Chiropractic care for me. It was the best decision she could have made. As a teen and into my early adult life, I also suffered from severe migraine headaches. Being busy with school and life overall, I neglected to continue with Chiropractic care. With the migraines, as well as back pain so severe that I had a hard time sleeping, I decided it was time to find a Chiropractor again.

"What I have noticed first in my treatment is that I can do more in my day on less sleep. Second is that I occasionally move the wrong way and pinch a nerve. I did this recently and went for an adjustment the next day and immediately felt better, when usually it would take me 4 days to get over the excruciating pain.
